Due to the current still in progress of fixing the issue which most of the paypal member unable to accept or deny funds, and also have to enter a US bank account before can proceed to the next step, there are some spammer or hacker are trying to take this situation as an advantage by sending or emailing a paypal email(which is a spam).

Please beware before proceeding or even reply. Make sure you check or contact Paypal directly via paypal website.

I received few emails which is not from paypal, and when viewing the original header, the reply-path is directing to another email address instead paypal email address.

The email content might be similar to "Please reply these email so that your account will be back to normal" or "Check your account and update your account for further recovery".

DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK. Member are advice to proceed to the paypal website via another browser and check with paypal directly. Delete the email or let the paypal know.

Wow, this is the first time you noticed this? This has been going on for years, since Pay Pal started. You get the same type of emails from eBay too. The warnings have been all over the net. For scam emails, the best advice is use your brain. If you get scammed with all the information out there, it is your own fault.

Thanks for posting Davcheong. Although it is old news, it is 'new' news to you and apparently also to others as the phisers keep on making money from this scam. Hopefully your post is 'new' news to at least one DP visitor.

DP forums are full of repetitive threads (who is cheapest registrar, how to get VCC, best alternative to PayPal etc...) and if everyone searched before posting this would be one dead forum. :D

Well said tobycoke, its a growing forum, old threads like that are dump in the attic of the Archive house.
New members should voice out to encourage fresh interaction, and master members can be nice to help out..that would be a very nice forum.
