Paypal locked with VCC

    This is a hypothetical situation....

I have a VCC (prepaid visa giftcard) registered into my paypal acocunt, but lets say my account gets locked or "Limited" after exceeding $10,000 worth of transactions. In order to get it unlocked don't I JUST need to fax them a copy of my photo ID and my bank account statement sheet.

The only reason I ask is because someone here said that you needed to send them a credit card statement which would obviously conflict with a VCC (prepaid visa giftcard). I believe I am right? Correct me if I'm wrong...bank statement NOT credit card statement.

Thanks for your help! Financial I am shooting for the stars some I want to avoid any bumps in the road.

Bank Statement is not the same as a Credit Card Statement.

A Bank Statement would be one for your Savings or Current Bank account. This details the transaction for your bank account.

A Credit Card Statement is for your Credit Card and details transaction made specifically from your credit card.

The would request the credit card statement as that is what your account is connected to.

Where are you located...because if you are in a location where they will accept your savings account why didn't you just use that as you are willing to give them that information?

Well I thought they might required your CC statement in addition to your bank account info. Are you saying they would take either one without the other? The reason I avoid the CC topic is because I might possibly be slightly under-age (x<18).

Well, they limited my account when I hit the withdrawal threshold because of some EU Regulation and they asked for a Utility Bill and a Photo ID.

As to whether they will ask for your credit card statement or bank statement would depends on why your account is limited. If they suspect that you are not using a credit card or one which is not yours or say a VCC, they will ask for a credit card statement. If you add a bank account and if they suspect it is not yours, they will ask for a bank statement. It will vary on the circumstances.
