hi. Recently my paypal account was limited, because a third party tried accessing my account. It request me to submit proof of address which I did just a while ago. My question is, how long does it takes for this verification process? Will it be safe to accept still payments on my limited account? Everything is legal, just afraid it might go offhand. Thanks and your help is much appreciated. miley
I believe it should take anything from a few hours to a few days to complete the process. Go to the Resolution Center and make sure that it shows the documents they required as showed as Received. When your account is limited, you cannot receive or spend any money, basically it is locked.
thanks for that fast response, however I can still receive funds just cannot send money. hope it restores fast.. +repped
He didn't get himself one- it was limited for suspected third party access,as he stated in his first post. As and when Paypal is happy with the documents that you submit, they will restore your account to its old status.
it's seems for everyone is different. I was limited on 23 january..sent all documents but the status show "In progress" from 2 week until now.Still waiting. On 23 january i made withdraw of $$$ and they limited me. Ok.How to make business when they limited for all things.?I decide when withdraw is made...will close my account and go to plimus. more info about my problem - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=670583&page=3
Plimus can be even worse. I had a very bad experience with them: on the 16th (or something around that date) of the month they refunded all the sales I made that month and closed my account. No emails, no nothing. Even worse, some of my sites still contained links to make payments by Plimus for a few days and they were still accepting those payments (of course, I didn't have any access to the account so all those money was left to them). When I asked them what's that about, they just said: `there were suspicious transactions` ) I decided it's time to stop wasting time with them back then.
Accounts get limited for several reasons and I would supposed that depending on the nature of the limitation, you will be asked for different types of documentations. Some of which may be relative straightforward to verify while others may be a little more complex and require more work such as verifying with the documents' originators.
i got my account limited before because of someone hacked my PayPal and transfer all my money to his bl**dy account i called for dispute and my account limited i provide the documents to clear it and it takes only 3 days to be completed and the limitation was removed shouldn't take long and all the best to you
it will take one day only, call them and tell them to check the documents they have sent you to them and then they will uplift your account
Takes around 1 week - 1 month depending on where you live. US will take ages because they're really busy (noobs).
