the more you get your account limited (and off course provide dox to un-limit it), the more you are repped in paypal's point of view.. thats my experience..

Gaypal needs to get in everyones grill, they are too nosy, when you transfer 1000$ to a PP account, they will most likely freeze the monet, if you even transfer 24$ now they will do the same thing??!? Why doesnt paypal freeze every single freaking transaction, find another transaction system, paypal sucks. period.

I had my main account with Pay Pal since 2001, have encountered account limits twice, one time was solved in minutes, the other take a few days. No matter what sort of tranactions I never encounter what you mentioned at all. I guess most of us did not, or Pay Pal will not be the success story that it is today.

I know how you feel. Apparently I violated their terms which I didn't and had my account blocked.

Paypal has to be pretty stringent in their rules for many reasons. One of the reasons that they are #1 in the Online Payments market is that they are pretty well regarded and trusted by most people, even if their technical interface is pretty weird.

There is nothing about getting limited and as long as you are not doing anything wrong, there is nothing to worry about.

The thing is that there is a law regarding money laundering and financial institution and when you hit an accumulated funds in your account, they are required by law to 'get to know their customers' and that means asking you to furnish government-issued photo id, utility bills and at times credit card statements and the likes. Also they would randomly flag incoming funds to request for invoices and proof of delivery so as to verify that you are actually selling things and not using your account as a front for money laundering or terrorism funding.

Times have changed and no one knows who is good and who is bad. Paypal has laws they need to comply and it is not like they make it up to make your life difficult.

They freezed my verified account for 6 month ! Although I send them all verifications and status of the docs was received and accepted. Never ever.
Could it be that they work with this money which they freeze to have better cashflow? Maybe they would be bankcrupt if they would not freeze accounts.
Which banks or debit card issuers are freezing accounts. No one if you are not a terrorist.

Well, I think it is way bigger than a billion dollar company. Incidentally, why was your account limited in the first place ? Did you comply to your contractual agreement with paypal word for word ?

Ebay being the parent of Pay Pal has a capitlization of $33.48B, did not check what is the size of Pay Pal, but should be at least tens of billions, given how profitable and large it is.

It is not what you think needs or not, it is what Paypal and its TOS needs or not. This is the crucial differences, if you are in disagreement with Paypal and its TOS do not sign up in the first place.

So far, I usually hear of accounts being limited because they receive money and lost disputes or something to that nature but this is the first time I hear of an account being limited for sending money through paypal.

I supposed if you do not plan to submit the required documents then you will continue to enjoy the limited status until you do.

I don't think the process of buying cause you trouble, it might be some random checks or your account or credit card may seems irregular or that you log in from a non-supported IP. If you have nothing to hide then just submit the requested documents.

When they limit your account, they should have provided an explanation as to why your account was limited. Check that and see what is causing the problem.

Maybe you could post the email you got to tell you your account has been limited so that we could make sense of the matter.
