paypal limited my account access!

    hello,
I am an unverified paypal member...
I opened a paypal account with my caste extension as my last name...
    'Abhijit Sagar'

my authorised name is 'Dupati Abhijit'

I dont know while creating account that we cannot change the last name... I was ignorant about most of the issues regarding paypal...

since there is a difference in the names i am using my sisters bank account to transfer my funds... She has a paypal account and i transfer my money to her paypal account and then to bank...

i am doing this since a year and now paypal has limited my access and is not allowing me to send money...
i have currently $45 in my account and i need to pay to few people online from whom i have taken some services...

can any one give me an idea on how to come out of this situation...
If i ask my clients to open a dispute and claim money from it and then pay me via my sisters account!!
will that work or should i loose my money....

    Thank you

Well, just go to your resolution center of PayPal and check what they are asking.
Just send them those details and they will resolve your limitation.
    Its not that hard. :)
And don't forget to call them after you submitted everything.

Why don't you submit details that they asked in resolution center?

    Good luck

    thank you all...
they are asking for credit card no which i don't have......
the other bank account, but my bank account name is different from the name in the paypal....
the other proofs are id, same problem again... name is different and they want exactly the same name printed on the id......

can i use VCC, with the exact name that i have on paypal?
    will that resolve my problem?
or even they require ID proofs for the wrong name which i cannot provide?

Probably you can use a VCC to verify an indian account. Why can't you submit a driving license or passport.

    Good luck

Usually 1 person is using unique name for everything, if you didn't do it, no solutions regarding paypal.

    Good luck

If you used a fake name, than you can forget about your paypal. Just give them a call and explain. As of VCC it don't work anymore.

If you use fake name, you play bad game with paypal. PayPal can block you for long time.

I say you're out of luck.

Why? because any ID you send WILL NOT match the same name.

Now unless there IS a person named 'Abhijit Sagar' or you have a ID with that information. You are pretty much screwed.

Sure you can call in and say, your didn't enter your real information. But the truth is, then ANYONE can call and say my name is this, but I didn't enter my real name, can you give me access to this paypal account LOL. We would have tons of scams then.

You shouldn't have lied to PP in the first place? So, what if they have your full name? Why were you scared on using it? Or were you trying to scam people? I can't see why you need to hide your name?

The last person that hid their name, scammed someone and got busted later.

    hii
    thank you all
i never tried to scam anyone...
only thing is i created it when i don't know anything about paypal and i continued using it as it is working....
When i came to know that we can make some money online (2yrs back) i found PTC sites and they asked me for a paypal account and i just created it with my caste name extension.. Abhijit Sagar and my original name is Abhijit...
I never thought of cheating them or any person...
If you want to scam anyone even with real name that doesn't matter... I think so....
Anyways its a matter of $45 which i earned offering services for people on DP .... just a few days of hardwork... on DP

I will create another account making no mistake again...

Thank you all for the replies

    Regards

This happened to me in the past (making me lose $200++) and unfortunately, if you do not have any proof of ID, billing or any documents which show "abhijit" as your last name, then you would not be able to get your money.

I do hope that you would be able to do something about this, though. Good luck.

Paypal can be tough to work with, but if you give them all that they are asking for with explanations then you should be able to change things with them. It will take time. My suggestion is to work at this until it is resolved. Do not just open another account and forget this one.

It would be VERY tough for paypal to give him the money.

#1 He has to provide enough proof, to show it is in fact HIM.

He has to prove, he MADE the account, he is the user and he didn't hijack someone's account. This is hard to do, when you tell them I created a fake name.

I believe under the Paypal TOS, you CANNOT claim a false identify. If you do and are busted, then you are going to get BANNED from paypal and/or criminal charges may apply.

I can't see why people are scared of giving their full name? What will paypal do anyways? They need it for their own security and to PROTECT YOU as a user. They are NOT asking for it to scam you.
