I got my account limited as well yesterday (same reason as yours), but I've provided what they wanted and the account was restored the next day. Just give them what they want.

The OP cannot give what he wants because he signed up with fake details and he should already know the consequences. Basically he is now enjoying the fruits of his labor.

Well, it is really just a matter of time before Paypal would catch up. I am sure that those who provided fake details or engaged in prohibited activities knows very well that their carefree days would be shortlived. It almost takes no real work to live a life of truth but it takes a lot of effort to upkeep a lie and all it takes is just one slip-up and you are done for.

There is no way one person can outsmart a multi-billion dollar corporation like paypal which would have invested heavily in fraud protection since the money market industry is highly regulated and prone to abused. Every one knows that although paypal relies on members' honesty during sign up, they would from time to time audit accounts randomly and ask for documentation and no one can escape the compulsory documentation and identity checks when you hit a certain receiving limits. That is when most fake accounts get caught.

No that is not true. Most of the time people lose their money on Paypal is when they signed up with fake details and/or engaged in prohibited activities which would be a breach of contract.

In the real world, if you breach contract, you need to pay penalty or end up in the courts.

If you however conduct yourself honestly, you should not get into any jam. When they ask for documentations, just provide them and you be fine. This not only satisfies government regulations and protect both you and paypal. You certainly do not want someone to hack into your account and use it without consequences.

However, if you are unable to satisfy them, all is not lost as you can withdraw any existing funds in your account after 180 days provided you furnished them with your real name and address.

Whatever you do, make sure you comply religiously to the Contractual Agreement you signed up with and do not violate the Acceptable Usage Policy. If you conduct business through Paypal, make sure you have the right account (ie Premier/business) and have copies of all the sales documentations such as invoices, receipts and shipping documentations ready.

If your account gets more than a total of £750/$1500 within a year or maybe 6 months then you need to verify it again

Um are you sure? I get around that amount every 8 months, and no limitation.

I got limited for the same reason as the OP, but it was because I used to have 1/2 transactions per day, and that specific day I got limited, I had around 20.
