Paypal limited account

    Yes i am guilty of being underage but long story short, i have 1.2k in the account which is over the 1k limit so i have to prove who i am in order to free the account i think?

    Got an email saying:
    We're required by Australian anti-money laundering laws to confirm your
    identity once your PayPal account balance reaches $1000. <br><br>Please
    help us confirm your identity by providing some information about yourself.


    IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING & COUNTER TERRORISM
    FINANCING LAWS IN AUSTRALIA & HOW IT MIGHT AFFECT YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT

    We are writing to you because your PayPal account balance has reached a
    balance of $1,000.00 AUD and a partial limitation has been placed on your
    account in accordance with Australian Anti-Money Laundering & Counter
    Terrorism Financing laws. This means that while you can continue to receive
    payments, you are unable to withdraw funds or make payments until we have
    verified your identity.

    What should I do?

    1. Login to your PayPal account.
    2. Click on 'Resolution Centre' and complete the steps listed.




    Why is this important?

    It is important that you respond to the request within 45 days. If you do
    not respond within 45 days, the law requires us to place a full limitation
    on your account and you will not be able to make payments, withdraw funds
    or receive funds.

    What can i do ? Can i wait 6months for the money to be freed ?

    i have same problem but my problem solve yesterday :D if you are legal owner of the paypal account just click on resolution center and provide all information in steps you limitation will remove on a mints :)

    I am the owner just not legally as im 17 and not 18. Ive read around that they only hold your money for 180 days ? then after they it'll be withdrawn to your account ? Is this true in my case ?

    Yes it's ture. you can withdraw after 180 days

    Oh okay, but they havent mentioned anything about a 180day wait before i can withdraw the money to me. Its just something i picked up reading other threads. Does it still apply with me ?

    Yes,After 180 days, they will email you with information on how to receive your funds

    You should submit all the documents they required then they will unlimit if they dont then next thing is wait for 180 days and you will get the check at specified address
