I have been reading countless issues on this forum about PayPal and about credit card charge backs, etc.. Here is how it works and how to protect your self against it, this was suggested to me by a paypal employee 1) PayPal has 0 protection for service orientated businesses, they state that pretty clear if you bother to read their website. 2) PayPal has GOOD protection for sellers who sell "Real Items" and have shipping proof. 3) There is this new thing its called a contract. When doing work with anyone you should have them sign one of these things. 4) NEVER deal with someone that doesn't have a verified paypal account 5) ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS ship your customer something, even a business card (best to send them the final invoice via mail + return receipt) and make them sign for it This is your PROOF and how your dispute will almost always be resolved. I had a situation where a customer charged back $3,000 in development work almost two months after the work was completed and up and running on his site. Paypal froze my account (which was empty at the time thank god) and gave me a negative balance of $3,000. I sent them the contract + the signed shipping receipt and guess what the charge back never went through. The paypal rep said "It was a good thing you had that shipping receipt, or you would have lost the dispute with the credit card company" inside I laughed because I knew the inside trick! Try it and see for your self.
well 1st even a scammer can have a verified paypal using VCC... so it dont make any sense.... 2nd paypal dont accept email proof.... i have tired that before many times and nothing happens.... 3rd if a changeback is made then there is no way you can stop the payment.... because changeback is done by the bank... i think youre talking about Reversal.... only reversal can be done at paypal... and last paypal is not good at all... they have no merchant protection... and anybody can steal paypal account in just few minutes and make payment and then the real owner reverse the payment by claming it unauthorize payment... so how can you say paypal is good when they cant even protect there users from getting stolen... dont ask why i hate paypal... just know paypal is worse service... and there customer care is hell... thats way i call them gaypal.com....
