Paypal Issues: Can RBI or any Public Sector Services do anything?

    Hello friends,

till the day the trouble with paypal was they were paying very low currency conversion for USD-INR withdrawals. I'm not sure whether any other to -> INR also was troubled, because I have done only USD withdrawals, (though I've made only two withdrawals so far, my colleagues and of course 'you' were experiencing the same). They were getting almost 7-10$ per withdrawals (for minimum amount)

That could be considered with their services are 'free of cost'. But now as we 'thousands of Indians' started depending paypal to a bigger extend than any other services, they have changed their plate.

)) First took the Gift (known for free payments) payment option

)) Now the personal payments too

Of course their side is right, we need to pay some service fees for this convenient, trustworthy payment gateway. But it should not be 'killing'. By now if we are withdrawing an 150$ to the bank account approximately we loose nearly 25$.. It's a fact that the fee are ""TOO MUCH"".

I saw in other threads that members telling about other services. But I don't know about other good service providers.

What could be done officially if thousands of people start complaint against this? Won't there be any results? Or do we all have to obey 'what the XXX' they say?

Can RBI or any other authorities do something regarding this issue? Please advice!
    G!
