I know for a fact you have to be under 18 to get paypal, even if lots of people do it under age and don't get caught out, I don't want to risk it. However I have my own bank account, an 11-18 bank account. Is it possible to put the paypal account under my dad's name so it's legal, but the card the money goes to as my own, even though my dad's name and the name on the card is different?
You can link any US checking account to your dad's PayPal account. How about setting up the account in your dad's name and then linking your checking account with it?
I should've said I'm in the UK. My original question was can I have my card on an account under my dad's name, or will paypal see 2 different names and freeze it? What did you mean by linking.
No, the name of the PayPal holder is the only person who can have credit / debit card linked to the account. You can open the account in his name (with his permission) and operate using his PayPal. Just get permission from him and let him know what you're doing so you don't effect his credit rating.
