PayPal is everywhere you are

    Is this an official slogan?
Does it mean that PayPal intends to make their services truly available worldwide? Otherwise they are deeply underestimating my traveling possibilities. And I mean truly and fully, not chopped like they seem to be at the moment.. Unless their slogan covers "just being there" and not necessarily "doing business there"..

lol, thats a new one. Paypal would probably expand more, however some countries are flagged by the US government, ie. North Korea won't have Paypal anytime soon.
Some countries are also risky to do business in due to their legal system, and some countries, it is not profitable to offer paypal

The main thing is They say Paypal Is every where but they didn't list the countries (some)

Paypal is created for the US (AND UK) so after ward it grew...

U can see the False commitment of P A Y P A L worldwide.. in there paypal supported contries list page
    https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-approved-signup-countries-outside
Here u will find a Difference (Which is a big one.)
The only featured countries are Localized Paypal...

Their recent move onto the Russian market was to me something like "hey guys, we do wan't your money but we won't trust your doing business with us and won't take any commitments on that" heh.

I believe they should try and work things out in a more convenient way. If they can risk taking in a credit card issued by X country for the sake of charging commissions, they should probably give the cardholder the option to be able to accept money, too. No matter what it takes for that to happen..

Yes that is 100% true... You are getting paid then why should u degrade one country than other.. Do other country pays less Tax/Fees to u(paypal) ?

Also i guess every body have CC in russia too
CC has a slogan ACCEPTED WORLDWIDE than why not ?
Even if u accept u do not give the service.. Alas! What can the country or the country man can do in that case ?

Maybe it should be rephrased, "Paypal is everywhere that matters." Yes, the PC police will like that one.

I think what ravianz means is "Paypal's services are limited rather than being available everywhere" as their slogan states.. No?

Agreed with what you guys are talking about. The Logo says "Paypal every where you are" and paypal gives you the facility to use it while you are travelling or you are in non-paypal country. Isn't that so?

Hmm, you have just reminded me of what Yahoo once had on their email login page that sounded funny to me, something telling us about our benefits of using their services, stuff like "Read your email while you travel" which is, in fact, an obvious thing, and does not need express mentioning. Online means online, afterall.. I hope Paypal people do have a real service extending plan that is going to work for more countries like it does for the US and UK..

And I really doubt that. Paypal can't even manage their services in countries (Listed by them). Offering a bank account adding service would be great specially for asian countries.
One more thing I am thinking is that there was not much competition among payment processors but now as there are some other good payment processors, so paypal definitely will try to beat them. Lets hope :)

    Yes i agree
They should support all asian banks...
And Also they should provide PP DEBIT card for all account holders who are verified..So there will be no trouble..

I've been watching the debit card to be made available for the UK accounts for ages, it simply beats my understanding. If this is too hard for them to achieve, I wonder what it would take them to implement these cards on other country based accounts.. Is it just too costly for them to sort the UK debit cards, probably an investment they are not happy to go for?
Google Checkout is my hope. Waiting to see what they will be capable of..

I dont beleive that. Paypal is mainly focused in the US and the UK, I think those are the only countries that can add bank funds to their paypal account :)

Actually you can say paypal's main attention is on USA and paypal is offering best services to people in USA maybe in UK too.
Google checkout seems to be competing well but We will have to wait until it comes out of beta and open for all countries. Google checkout will be open for all countries I think unlike paypal.

Let's get back to this again in 2008. I don't think much will change before that, and not even sure we will have something new by then.. As for Paypal, US market is the richest one they have targeted so far. I believe they are pretty confortable with what american guys are giving to them. Why bother about the rest of the world. There is no financial motivation for covering poor countries, I can understand that. But then let's not yell here and there that we are globally available. Not true.
