bro switch your account to personal ...you must have registered an account with a company name and hence they are asking for the docs.

The right account to sign up for is the Premier account as it allows you to sell and you can remain as a private individual.

A Personal account would have serious limitations in terms of collecting money as it is create for spending rather than receiving payments.

I think an individual can have a business account. I have a business account, but it is under a corporation, however, their page says "PayPal allows members to have one Personal account and one Premier or Business account."

You do not need a DBA to operate a business under your own name.
You do not need to be a corporation.
You likely have local laws that require a business license.

What you can't do is operate under a business name without a DBA. If your name is John Smith, you can operate as a business without a DBA. John's Tire Service requires a DBA.

If you signed up with a business name, that is likely your problem.

I don't think you can't use the business account as individual, even if you do some business, you make it as 1 person , you provide private services online . is your hobby ... let's say

    Right.

But if you are doing a lot of transactions, then you are going to run into limits on transactions, additional scrutiny the other things.

Personal accounts, rightfully so, have more limited, lower dollar amounts, withdraw, and daily restrictions. Most people are not doing a ton of transactions, and if they are, they will go over the $600 annual easily, and need to deal with taxes (if US).

So you're right. You COULD do it this way. But you are going to have a lot of grief. More trouble then it's worth.

They go by trust and they will only ask when their system flags your account.
