I received email from paypal like this: Q: What will i do? Q: This transaction is from selling links and there is no shipping address. They are asking me the Shipping Address when try to RESOLVE this problem through their site. Q: Should i make the first move or just let the investigation finish? Q: Did my buyer received also email from paypal?
1. Who knows what you will do 2. You cannot provide one so just tell them it was a service 3. You have to make a move 4. Yes
i received 2 emails from 2 different transaction and came from different person. Maybe its not chargeback, its verification. (its only my opinion)
This has happend to me a few times, the buyer used a hacked/stolen/phished paypal. Since it was a link, just take it off and explain to paypal (make sure u use simple terms, they are 1/2 retarded)
That's definitely a chargeback. Either that, or there was unauthorized activity in the buyer's PP account
I've got a Paypal Investigation too from a transaction we've done with AxSpark. What do you think might have caused this?
If the buyer did a chargeback then Paypal or any payment processor for that matter is powerless when it comes to the bank's decision and would inevitably need to do the refund. However if you can proof beyond a shade of a doubt that you physically ship the product and the customer received it then you have a chance at winning the case. However, there is no protection when it comes to virtual products.
Thanks, but how will the Bank get involved in this matter? Paypal not the bank held our paypal funds that came from that AxSpark member
Well, if the buyer pays by credit card then he would inevitably may have raised the chargeback with the bank which issue the credit card. When that happens, Paypal would have that amount which is chargeback taken out of their bank account and thus the amount is being held for investigation. Banks are the ones which provides their customers with the option to do a chargeback. Usually the window to perform chargeback is open for 180 days from the time of the transaction. This option is available as a way of recourse if there is fraud, stolen credit card numbers or when the vendor/seller did not fulfil his side of the deal. If the customer raise a Paypal dispute, you will get a dispute request and the matter would have been treated differently.
This should not be tolerated... Scammers should be screened well by the administrators. We are working hard to have a living... They should not be a member of this forum.
How do you suppose that should happen? Mods don't have time to screen every single member that registers just to determine if they are a threat to the forums or not.
The mere fact that something happened here with those pin pointed members, then something must be done by the Moderators.
This is just a follow up of security measures. They will ask for password change/credit card details..
