I am in the process or setting up my paypal account and getting verified for an Irish account. How do I get the money out of Paypal -- do they put it on the credit card I use to verify, or do I also have to associate a bank account to get it -- card and my address are the same in Ireland, however my bank is in Estonia -- also can a Paypal personal account accept credit cards?
In https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-approved-signup-countries-outside , it reads where Ireland is listed. So yes, you will have to associate it with your bank account to withdraw money. Paypal personal only permits you to receive up to 5 credit card transactions a year at the higher charges than the Premier or Business accounts . If you want to accept credit card transactions regularly, getting the Premier account would be better. Estonia is within the class of countries which can only send Paypal payments and not receive it so I would assume using your Estonian bank account is out of the question. Why don't you set up an Irish bank account at your local bank and use it. It would be a whole lot easier or else they will assume you are setting up the account to no good or circumventing some of the restrictions.
thanks for the feedback my account is Estonia is in a business name, not my own, I have an account in Ireland but it is personal, not business. I guess I like to keep my information confidential. I have other options for accepting credit cards so I assume that is the best option. Is there a difference in Premier and business accounts?
Premier Account is for Individuals who wants to accept credit card payments while the Business Account is for Businesses, it pretty much is the Premier Account but has to be registered in your business name. If you want to use your Business Name for your Paypal account, you will need to open an Estonian based Paypal Account which prevents you from accepting payment. It seems like based on the current situation, you are trapped.
