My guess would be that this is partly to do with why there are so many women working for paypal, but that's just a hunch. there's probably a few factors involved.
That was just a thought. Setting up a system to control Paypal personnel actions to prevent in-house fraud is not that big of a deal, I've watched news with women involved in human traffic incidents so I don't personally think some of us are on the right track here. Just that listening to a female voice is pleasant when dealing with customer support. How many of you have seen male secretaries?
Probably because people will less likely shout at a girl than at a boy. Those criminals at Paypal hide behind their support crew.
lol well thats awfully nice of them to think of the members...i dont mind talking to women...better than a hot tempered man....
That must be a hot-temper statement. If I were "Paypal" I'd most probably be hiring girls for the customer support department, too. Hiring involves training, of course. And no, this isn't discrimination, this is Paypal's right to choose.
i'd go with hbl's post... and tv-dp is correct too, if i'm mad at paypal, and i call them, and there's a male, i'll probably talk to him politely for 30 secs, next 15 secs i start to loose my temper, and in a minute i'm shouting at him...which will never be the case if my call is answered by a female.
