    Hi,

A while back now paypal limited my account for no reason what so ever and put the note on it that i cannot fight it. When I have called them (several times) Im told that they have done this for the safe use of paypal blaa blaaa blaaaa and they will not tell me the exact reason. Im told by them that they never tell why they have closed an account so it does not give an insight in to there security.

My question is this: How the hell can they do this and get away with it? I feel helpless! I was fully verified and had over £80GBP in it. Now I have no way of getting it back or ever processing payments via paypal

Is there any way I can fight this?

    Thanks

I don't think so that you can do anything now in this case.

With paypal, anything can happen. They are notorious for sneaky things like that.

It might sound complicated but you can file a lawsuit against them
but, first make sure that you were not violating any T.O.S
you might have to read the T.O.S thoroughly to find the reason behind your account being limited

I've had issues dealing with PayPal many years ago. The only way to know why they closed your account is to call them. You'll want to ask to speak to a manager though.

dont ask them why they limit your account, call them up and ask for the solution
Ask them what action need to be taken to re-active the account

I have had my paypal account limited once, my spouse used my account for some purchase. After 3 email communications; I re-authenticated some security questions and got my account re-activated. It was a fraud prevention measure. Do not worry about your money in there, it is yours and they will not forfeit them. Just communicate with them to get it re-activated. While it was limited I can still accept payment, just that I was not allowed to withdraw. Hope it helps.

I Think you can withdraw it after certain period of time. Or I think they are asking for some proofs just provide it to them and you are all good to go.

I understand what you are saying %100; the same thing has happened to me 3 times.
But its not totally helpless after 180 days they are required to give you your money. Either if its by check, bank or Paypal debit card. After the 180 days i called them and asked each time '' So why was i limited in the first place?'' And after a lot of other little questions and investigating. The three reasons they were limited is
    1) Linked a prepaid visa card
    2) had more then one paypal account under one IP..
    3) Being associated with 1 or more limited paypal accounts

The best thing for you to do is Change ur ip address, get a new debit card number, and get a new bank Checking number (go to your bank and get all new). Then make a new paypal with new names address. Don't link anything that was on your old paypal or paypal(s) to your new one. The downfall to this is that you cant by real items from walmart or ebay.. Cause its not your legit information.. you can only by things like subscriptions and virtual things.. well thats all for now. If you have any more concerns or questions send me a pm... I will be happy to help.
