since two days I'm trying to buy web hosting account from bluehost, hostmonster, hostgator through Hdfc international debit card, vcc, through paypal(verified with bank account). When I try to pay with debit card / vcc I get following error: "Credit Card problem: Cardholder transaction not permitted. Be careful, you have x tries left." When I try to pay with paypal I get following error: "This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card." I'm had many conversation with bluehost, hostmonster, hostgator through email with sales, billing department and also had live chat session with them. They assisted me to do live transaction while chatting and crosschecked issue with billing department. They says: We don't deny card, it is bank for some reason they don't like us and deny to fetch payment on our request. I also had similar email conversation with paypal after trying both hdfc debit card and vcc. Here is what they says: It shows here that you tried to add your card ending in xx## and xx## in your PayPal account. Apparently, your card issuer/bank refused our request to verify your card. If you used a debit card, technical issues might have prevented your bank from authorizing your payment. I advise you to please contact your bank for more information. If you used a prepaid card, your payment might have been declined because the payment amount exceeded your prepaid card's balance. If you used a credit card, your payment might have been declined because you exceeded your credit card's monthly limit. It's also possible that the card issuer could be temporarily unavailable to answer the authorization request we sent or your credit card company could be blocking this transaction because it does not fit your regular spending patterns. I encourage you to contact your credit card company directly to get to the bottom of this, as I don't have visibility into the details of the denial. Once very thing is settled, you can try to add your credit/debit card. And yes I do have sufficient fund and card is working. And forget about bank people when I go to them, they make strange faces saying 'what you are talking about?'. When I applied for credit card they rejected my request as I'm just starting up to make money online. Every body is pointing to bank. I think it is clear that HDFC International Debit card won't work. Can Any body Here help to get through this block? Thanks.
Only VISA verified vcc's are having problems. According to me the new series of card numbers are still to be approved by VISA or something like that but until than there is no way out.Wait is the only KEY BTW u can get credit card by making a FD of around 20000 in nearly every bank and yea bank will never ever issue a credit card to a non salaried person unless and until u have FD with them
