Hello, For all Non-US paypal users, there has been a big question of how to fully verify your account. The paypal rules state that users from a majority of countries are able to withdraw their funds to US bank accounts 'and only US bank accounts'. A US bank account needs something called SSN to create. SSN is given only to US residents. So, isn't this kind of being scam artists? I know US members do not know what i am talking about exactly as it is much easier for them. But in my situation for example, i was allowed to open a paypal account, i started using it to get payments, i now have like $4000 there that i will NEVER be able to withdraw. Simply because i am not a US resident, and do not have SSN, though i can not have a US bank account. Any comments anybody? did anybody bypass this point? How? Please advise. And PS> Please do not post links to sites selling 'methodologies' on how to create a US bank account for non-residents. That's simple another ~$40 scam that is none of any help. I'm in Australia and my Paypal account is verified. I verified my australian bank account with a test deposit and enter the PIN code paypal sent me

I'm in OZ too! Setup was very easy. Test deposit came through without a hitch. I only deal in US dollars though. Makes things a whole lot easier.
Hi articlesZone, Paypal is now available to Israel users too right ?? If yes, then create a paypal and get yourselves verified in your own country! then you can send the same money to that PayPal and withdraw it in your country! Why are you not allowed to use those 4grands? Is that account banned or something ? Or for another part, buy some merchandise off ebay or something! and use those stuff! Another question, how were you able to verify yourselves as a US accunt without adding a bank account to Paypal ? Since as far as I am aware, all the virtual cards available in the market allow you to get yourselves verified for countries that don't need a Bank account and not for the US or the UK! And I am not aware of your countries laws, but do you have any services such as www.xoom.com in your country ? That should help too Abhishek

Again, this issue concerns people that are not US residents, and live in countries that are allowed to withdraw to US banks only. Examples, Jordan, Israel, Romania, etc... My 4grands account is not banned, yes i am unable to do anything (in any way) with the money until i get verified (expended program enrollment) which needs a US bank account to be added. Israel is an approved country, correct. Yet we are able to withdraw the cash (verify account) using US bank accounts only. So, the real question is how can i use a US bank account to verify my account if i am not allowed to have on at all because i am not a resident.!? Regarding virtual cards, do you mean adding a virtual card and not adding a bank account will get the account 100% verified? Any guarantees on this one? Thanks, Ruslan
Oh ok, So you mean you received all those funds in an account that wasn't verified ? You can then verify your PayPal using a credit card from your country for sure! We in India can do it too! You don't need a US bank account for a Non-Us Verified PayPal Abhishek
A few clients have had success with eTrade. Some have had success with Valis. Another way is to check with your local bank. Some of them have partnerships with banks in the United States to satisfy the YKYC (you know your customer) regulation. BTW, a SSN is not needed when opening a checking account unless that account is interest bearing.

True, but it is a case by case basis and some clients that are not in the United States have had success. The only real reason you need an SSN to open a checking account is if it is going to be interest bearing. The SSN is relied upon by every company today unfortunately and the administration was organized for a totally different purpose.
It took to me forever to sign up for a paypal account. I'm glad my bro lives in US - still trying to get a US bank account/debt card.
I am not certain what a british password is and depending on when you actually opened the account - before 11 Sep 2001 or after could make or break it. You do not need an SSN to open a US bank account. They do prefer and if you are going to open one up via the phone, it helps to satisfy the YKYC regulation. If you checking account is going to be interest bearing, then a SSN is needed. And you can probably forget the Patriot Act. If all the immigration acts pass that that party wants, then you might not even be able to open a bank account anymore.
