your not alone on this one...

My paypal account got suspended over a year ago, and i tried until i was blue in the face to get my paypal account back, and they will not give it back to me...

Now, after a year has gone by, i just contacted them again yesterday, and this time, i finaly spoke to someone who was very nice, and very helpful, and he is doing research at this time, so i have to call him back on Wednesday or Thuesday to find out the status...

But all i can say, is have fun trying to get your paypal account back, i havent had mine in over a year, and i tried everything back then, hopefully i may get lucky now and be able to get it back.

unless you don't have a legitimate business, or legitimate funding sources, the chances of getting your Paypal account will remain very remote.

Is this why i haven't received my book yet?

WOW. Mad props to paypal for nailing this one on the head. Geez. I know I cant get a refund from you since you cant get into your account, but could you forward the book to me?

Also, if you need me to do something, since i think i was one of the last 5 transactions you had (I paid yesterday) i'll try to help out.

There could be a few reasons such as :-

    1) OP uses a VCC to verify and got found out by Paypal

    2) The incoming funds are from suspicious sources

    3) OP did not use the Buy Now, Request Money or Invoicing system to receive money but just rely on the sender to use the Send Money option.

    4) OP may have used a personal paypal account to receive money.

You can do nothing in this case. I got my account locked a few weeks ago due to one payment ( someone paid me for website design ), and .. they told that they will not restore my access.
I don't know why, but I know that PayPal is the worst payment system by now ..

PAypal did that kind of thing?
But i thought that if the seller could shows some proof that he/she is making sales on some digital products then Paypal should reconsider the freezing accounts

If you read the terms and conditions carefully, you would know that neither the seller or buyer would be protected when it comes to digital items since there is no way to provide independent 3rd party proof of delivery. The worst part is that most people who are selling such items do not even provide the most basic sales documentation, ie the invoice or the receipt.

Exactly, the ironic thing is the use that paypal sucks the most at, digital goods...is the thing that people often use them the most for.
Of course paypal doesn't mind taking their cut regardless.

Well, the thing is that if Paypal needs to refund the buyer, paypal would not keep their cut at all as the full sum is returned to the customer. Paypal will only get their cut if the seller earns the money.

If the seller account has the limitation lifted, he would get the money. If it is not, the money would be held for 180 days and the seller will get his money if the buyer did not claim it.

In either situation, the money does no go into paypal's pocket and the buyer and seller gets nothing.

phone them, and theyll work it out

ive been in the same situation.

Just explain to them your selling a e-book, etc. If you used a VCC or provided false info: change it, and be honest about it.

I had about 5 accounts, but i was honest about it, and they unblocked them all, politely requesting me to close the others to comply with the TOS. Needlessly to say i did

Well they monitor accounts which receive fraud payment in high ratio. Always accept payment from only verified users.

Give them a call like a few have mentioned. As long as you can explain where the funds came from and if you have documentation to back up these were legit orders they will probably work with you. If you do get your account restored be sure to do business with verified users and stipulate that when making sales or even purchases.
