PayPal for business - is it safe?

    Hello,

like a personal user of PayPal i have bad experience with their seller protection. For example before 2 years i did some webmaster job, got paid and after 3 months that guy click on "return money" and PayPal get his money back, but work was done. That guys was laughing me by email, and I couldn't do nothing, because i sold service, not product.

I am running new business for online gamers, and I will use business account. Again, i will sell only service, not products. Is there any chance how to protect my business before massive refunding? Is there any additional service which can avoid these situations?

    Thanks for help.

Safe for them, definitely, as they had drawn all clauses for their protection. Safe for you depends on what you are selling, if services or virtual goods, I am afraid it is going to be a big risk for you as they do not cover such services and you may get a charge back easily without much venues for appeals.

That always happens with Paypal , but still I recommend paypal.
Because you have dispute resolution system , where in which even though a buyer claims dispute , you will be given time to explain the situation & you can counter claim that you have done the job & if you strongly argue & truly inform them whatever has happened , paypal guys would definitely mediate & do the right things.
Because in the past , personally I resolved few disputes through Paypal Dispute Resolution system , they just dont take your money simply & throw it to them.
But you should have some proof like Mail Logs , Chat Logs etc,.. that you can post in their resolution system & they would help you , if your claim is genuine.

    Hope this helps.

Its the best payment solution for online business but a times it messes up with you.I think they shouldn't just allow refund without considering the case for both parties;the seller and the buyer.
Sorry for that,i think that wasn't fair for them do that to you.

Yes but with all informations somebody can chargeback within 60 days. So they login, add money in system, buy service and after 2 months they can chargeback without reason. This can totally destroy my business, for real. And do proofs for thousands of people? Is MoneyBookers safer in that way?

Second question, I bought something on ahrefs.com, and in payment processing on PayPal there were some third party service. Maybe it was protection third party website, because ahrefs.com offer as well only service.

Paypal is safe but we need to choose a good buyer, i have experience on paypal by sold an website to a guy, after getting domain names and files, he raised dispute.

So careful when you are using it, its not an fault of paypal though.

Serial refunders are a problem. You can try PayFense (WordPress Plugin) for this and other things: It allows you to block serial refunders, visitors from fraudulent countries, switch payment processors on each sale (example: 1 sale through PayPal 1 through ClickBank etc so you collect your money through 2 processors instead of 1) etc.

Good to sell online and it costs a couple of bucks (i think it's available on Warriorforum but you can google it)

I am currently using PayPal business for my own website, and it has worked fantastic I think you should go for it, most people prefer PayPal over any other payment method.

I find that calling up paypal and explaining your situation to them helps your dispute by a ton. I've managed to win multiple disputes with the help of calling up paypal.

Freaky speaking, paypal is more protect the buyer compare to seller, especially for those virtual product seller including online work.
I suggest to use escrow instead of paypal alone, it is safe
