Some people are facing problems with Paypal here. Is it because they are using personal accounts? Has anyone faced a problem with a business account? If yes, can you provide more details?
    Thanks

Some paypal accounts get limited or frozen, so I was wondering whether people with Business accounts also face these problems

It depends on the reason for being limited or frozen. Every case is different.

I communicate with PayPal every time I run a promotion or expect an increase in sales. This has kept me from ever getting locked out of my account. Paypal is really no worse than other merchant accounts.

Well, I guess he is referring to the fact that you need to set up a registered business and have a bank account registered in the name of the business in order to use the paypal business account to its full extend.

To the OP, both the Business and the Personal account should be treated the same as far as risk factors are concerned. However, as the name suggests, the Personal account is made exclusive for the personal users who use their paypal account to make purchases and maybe send and receive remittance to and from their friends in an irregular basis. The Premier and Business accounts are made for people who actually use their Paypal accounts to receive money through sales of goods and services. So typically if you are using it for a business, you need a Premier or Business account.

Some people got their paypal account frozen because they are either registered against their TOS (ie pretend to be from a paypal approved country while they are not, pretending to be over the ages of 18 years old when they are not, engaging in illegal activities such as e-gold to paypal conversion services or using dubious means to verify their account) or engaging in questionable activities or dealing with suspicious customers.

i've never had a problem with my business account. done over $5k in transactions so far with no problems. other than their fees raping me. i charge 3.2% tax on all paypal transactions just to cover their fees and ensure that i still get what i quoted. and then i still end up with a few extra cents. i dont have it down to an exact science but most of the time they charge 2.9% + the 30 cent transaction fee.

I'm having a problenm with my paypal business account as my acocunt is in my name and they won't change the way it is registered with the name of my company so that I can verify the account. Thinking of closing it and trying again without the company name. Will this work?
