Paypal makes a regular salary off of my payments, no wonder they havent locked my account lol.

Anyway i was wondering whats the actual fee % they take? I thought it was around 2.6% maybe 3%. But i receive $100 and they take $4.20? Doesnt seem right to me.

Paypal charged you depending on your monthly sales. Go to Paypal and search keyword "fees" to find out.

You should seriously click on 'Fees' on the Paypal website since everything is listed there

    For US : https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside

    For Canada : https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside&countries=CA

    For Europe : https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside&countries=EU

For the rest of the world : https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside&countries=ROW

So typically, if you are from the US & Canada, you will be charged 2.9% + $0.30 and if you are elsewhere , it would be 3.4% + $0.30 .

For $100, you be charged $2.90 + $0.30 = $3.20 (if you are from the US) or $3.40 + $0.30 = $3.70 if you are outside of the US.

    If you are using a personal account, you could be charged $4.90 + $0.30 = $5.20 .

If the currency that you are receiving and your based currency is not the same then there is an additional 2.5% foreign exchange fees.

Think about it this way, without them, you probably may not have made that money in the first place. Running a business like Paypal is a very expensive venture and their rates are pretty low for what they do. Much of the fees they charge are low in terms of industrial standards and they would go to paying their bank and partners and to support the free personal account transactions.

Look at the benefits rather than look at the costs since they do not represent a lot and I am sure you made a higher profits from your sales than them.

Thats true.. but your right either way i have to be optimistic since most users will use paypal and thats how i receive my money. Hopefully i can get over 3k in a month to get a little bit smaller fee.

If you find that they are too expensive and you do not get more benefit than what you paid for then don't use them. Use another mode of payment which suits your needs and comfort level.
