They will basically deduct the fees first and any balance is what you get. If the fees is more or equals the receipt amount then you get nothing.

Assuming if you get $0.50 and the paypal fees is 2.9% + $0.30, the fees will work out to be about $0.32 and you will get $0.18.

You get nothing if the fees is more than what the other person pays you. You will never get a negative figure for this.

Yes I tried once, they send to my Paypal business account $0.50, I got $0 thats it! Paypal deducted everything :( If you are receiving such small amounts, get them to paypal to your personal account.

You can't do that. The contract you agreed to when you signed up with Paypal prohibits that. You can of course state a higher dollar value to at least cover the cost and make you some money.

Well he did not but you did recommend him to divert small amount transaction to his personal account instead of his business account. That is 'splitting' as far as Paypal is concerned.

Diverting personal payment to personal account is it considered splitting? Did I ask him to divert business transactions to personal accounts?

    Simple solution:
Say your product's price is $0.50, but there is a transaction fee of like..$0.12
get it? got it? good! :D

Read his original post, he said :

If you sell something then it would be considered a business transaction. Personal payments are when your friends send you money because you paid for his meals the night before.

Telling someone to pay to your paypal account because it is low amount and high amount to the business account would be considered spilting.
