    Hi all,
I've a personal account at Paypal and I've been observing from the last 5 transactions,Paypal has been charging fees every time.

I don't know if those payment were made through Paypal credit/credit card , thats why I'm not sure. Has anyone else been experiencing such changes?

I mean have they started charging fees like Premier A/c now to Personal a/c as well? Or were they charged because they were credit transactions?

    Thanks,
    Refresher

Paypal has changed its fees structure and it no longer depends on the type of your account.

They have instead classified transactions into commercial and personal with all commercial transactions attracting fees, irrespective whether yours is a personal or premier account! :(

Then what's the different between premier & premier account?
If you have premier account,Then there is no need to create personal account???

    Now, there is no difference.
And its better to keep a premier account as it has more facilities than a personal account.

But if you have personal paypal account then still you can receive funds from family and friends using personal option without paying any fee to paypal. You can't do this in your premier account.

Of course, it is impossible for them or any stranger to know who is in your family and who is not!

They would rely on your good self to help them determine the same. If you continue to receive funds from one and all under the personal transaction, it would become easy for them to know that you are not honest...as simple as that!

So, this means they are going to charge fees for each payment I receive,, or is there a way to exempt yourself from it? Because I receive payments in small amounts, ranging from 5 to 20 $ at a time....:(

    That's bl**dy unfair

So, How have you and the others coping up with the situation? Any tips as to how to reduce the amount of fees? One thing I can think is to ask for collective payments, but that wouldn't help much IMO :(

Better pay fees and carry on.

too many personal transactions can be harmful

or switch to some other payment method - AP , MB or LR
