Well, I read somewhere, in this forum actually, that if you make a paypal payment as personal payment or something, they will only deduct $.10 instead of the usual .30 + 3% or w/e it is. Is this true. Have people had success with this. I only say this because I have transferred a lot of money from my paypal account to my brothers or something like that and I've had to lose money doing so. (I know I could have just withdrawn it, but time would usually be an issue). Well, hope you guys have some answers.
Yes it's very true, if you send payment as personal payment Paypal will only charge you $0.01 and not $0.10. But only a verified paypal account can send personal payments. The personal payment tab wont appear in non verified paypal accounts while sending the payment. You also get the option to pay the $0.01 charge or make the receiver pay the $0.01 Charge But this wont work if payments are sent as Services Goods or Ebay items Get verified and get rid of this damn paypal costly charges.
I got 1 more question, how do I make a personal payment, is it the cash advance thing? I have a premier account and it only shows 4 categories when I choose to send money, Goods, Services/Others, Ebay, and Cash Advance. Also, does that mean the receiver doesn't have to pay fees also? Like it will be $.01 for the whole transaction?
While sending the payment you get personal tab below the amount box. But you need to have a verified paypal id for this to appear. The $0.01 fee can be paid by you or you can choose the option which will make the receiver pay the fee I think your account is not verified that is why it's not showing the personal payment tab
You can always send out large amounts of money via paypal and only pay USD1: Check out the tutorial here: Save on Paypal Fees with Mass Payment Method Hope this helps as well.
I don't see this option on any of Paypal's pages or website. Could you point to the exact paypal web page which talks about the option ? Thanks.
