    Before the days the media got involved and coined the term phishing (and before these sort of scams grew exponentially), I used to go as far as to contact the ISP the site was being hosted on and have them shut it down. It took a little time, but the way I figured it was that If my mom got one of those emails, she would probably fill out the form and get owned.

    this thing is a real big problem....

    pishing is probly most common on myspace and paypal...

    never click on bulletin links in myspace and more lols..because some times they re locate you to a fauls login screen this is soo common its not funny..

    also their was a thing on tv the other night about how old people get sucked into these scams its pretty sad but only generation x knows how to cope with it. Most of these scams are run via internation crime cindicates, who launder money in high amounts, they suck people in really hard, usually the people who set up the accounts never get in trouble because they suck in outsiders to think they are working for a fake business, they get them to do all the work with the money eg transfering it via western union and what not.
