Paypal email address limits

I haven't heard this before but until trying to add a new email account to my business account:

I have actually two email addresses in my profile so I don't see the point to close my account and open a new one, specially when mine is a nine years old account, thus Paypal don't care the reputation you have earned and force you to close the account unless of clean up your history of previously registered emails that appears somewhere in the site.

I already noticed such old emails listed when sending money or something, but now I'm wondering why they don't delete obsolete data, Can you imagine if someone is sending you money through those old links via archive.org and the associated emails longer exist? Does paypal process the paymente anyway and keep the money on its own?

Either way, what drives me nuts is asking me to open a new account, throw away my nine-year reputation or not receiving money because one of my actual paypal emails doesn't longer exist and the other will shut down soon.

I would appreciate your insights on this matter

Try to explain all of this to them. They with do something to sort this problem. Explain it as you quoted here. I thing they will give you a positive response because it sounds very strange.

Just an update for those who have an old Paypal account that overtime can reach a ridiculous email limit stated above.

    This was Paypal reply:
    1. Let's suppose someone else is facing this problem and he/she is not located in the USA, don't speak English and is so poor to pay for the phone call.
    2. That's exactly what I did, following such steps to be in touch
    3. Everybody knows Paypal Help center helps very little and there's nothing about email addresses limits.

Or in other words, I'm scared to call just to hear what is usually heard when calling... "thanks for contact us blah, blah... huh? what?... ah, no, browse the online help center to find the answer"
