Sorry guys but this is a dumb question since this is the first time I received an eCheck payment. Once an eCheck is cleared, do PayPal send me a form of a physical check (as in paper...) or it just go to my account balance? I repeat, this is really dumb but that thing is I don't know of.
eCheck means that the one who pays you is using his bank account to pay you through Paypal. This will take up to 7 days to clear and once it does, you will get the money in your paypal account. Before the eCheck payment is cleared, do not send your customer anything because if Paypal finds that the sender does not have money in the bank account or the sender decides to cancel the echeck payment, you will not get the money.
Thanks eddy2099 for the response, that's what I have read when searching at Google. By what I am looking for is if PayPal send me a form of a physical check (as in paper check...) or it just go to my account balance?
Once your echeck getting cleared in your account then you'll get that funds in your paypal account balance (not physical check form). DON.
I got an echeck as well. Tomorrow I will see if I got the payment. Hopefully not scam... Is there anyway we can disable this echeck?
Why disable it? If it clears, the bank account is legitimate, if it doesn't, then no loss...unless you sent the product.
no paypal do not send any paper or form... at least i didnt get any.... but i know recently paypal upgrade there system and install several security tools in there system to protect buyers.... and so i am not sure now.. but few months ago it dont ask for any paper work or anything.... however i will tell you to stay away from echecks since most people use echecks to scam the seller and ask for the product before the check get cleared... i get scammed 2 times because of echeck and buyer got there products before the check get cleared... and so i will really suggest you not to send anything or refund the payment if the buyer cant wait....
Takes 3 - 5 working days. Usually, if people's Debit or Credit Cards are linked and verified to PayPal. PayPal will pay the money and the money will be debited / credited from the card into the account, in unverified cases payments are eChecks instead.
