Click "All Account Activity" and choose "Within the Past Year" all previous transactions made this year should show up, and when you find his payment, click details it should display Transaction ID on top..

Just go through the following thread,
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=3767167

You can see at least 3 sellers having this kind of problem including me. This is simply due to dumb PayPal policy. You can't do anything in this case now. Just forget those money. I have tried to get my money hard by many means & wasted my valuable time but all useless. I don't want to disappoint you, but this is fact. Just accept it & forget it as a nightmare. Start from the zero. This is life. The scammer will get the result of his scamming & you will get the result of your hard work. That is what I can say now.

Sorry I have to say you this but you won´t have any chance to get back anything as there exists no seller protection for virtual goods. They only have seller protection for trackable items. So it seems you lost both, money and site. Sorry for your loss mate.

I would like to set a question that could lead to something helpfull.

Did you close the deal from a website just like DP from a topic or something?
If you have close the deal just like that and the "scammer" posted after the transaction was done couldn't naveennagole send a link to paypal to prove them that his site was transfered to the "scammer" ?
In case that something like that happened imo you could suggest to paypal to track that guy's ip and compare it with the one from the site where the "scammer" is member in (if it's a static ip) to prove that it's him and the transaction was done.

    Just a though.

Well, as far as I know PayPal does chargeback policy doesn't cover intangible items. Did he sent money as "Service/Other" or sent as "Goods" and provided physical address for shipping?

If he sent money as service, you could simply tell paypal that product was intangible and is delivered .. simply this answer could win you the dispute.

Looking forward for expert comments on this.

Paypal was built for the eBay online auction platform where physical products are sold and bought. It does not work well with virtual products and even their TOS provides no support for virtual products. They let you use it but you need to take the risk.

I think it is because with the current issues with scams and terrorism, they are afraid that their license may be taken away from them if they are known as a platform where people uses paypal for money laundering or funding terrorists.

They ask for the invoice and proof of delivery so that they can be assured that the sale is legitimate. Sadly, virtual products cannot get that kind of proof so you do not know if the deal is real or not.

You cannot blame them for it.

Hi Naveennagole, for proof of site do u have any mails from yr
domain registrar, payment proof of that site to a hosting provider or
a domain registrar. if u had paid by cc for site or by paypal maybe u
could give that info to paypal to establish ownership and precedence.

Has anyone considered, that in addition to selling a high ticket virtual good the sell also included in the sale a makeshift "deed" or something similar mailed via certified snail mail to make the whole process less virtual.

just a thought, may not hold any weight but on the higher prices virtual goods, it could be a back up of sorts.
