I am not sure if this should be posted here but I think it should be related to the design thing. I put a paypal donate button on a web page. Everything seems ok. Today I try to open that page in IE (I normally use firefox). The page stopped loading suddenly and IE also came to a halt... I have tried it on another machine but this time there was no problem. Then I tried on a third machine and the same problem happened again. Then I supposed it is the problem of Norton 360 since the first and third machine are using 360 while the second one is using norton anti-virus 2008. I took away the paypal button then everything seems ok again. And the same problem came back when I put on the paypal button again. Eventually, I download the paypal button to my server, and replace the one which is on the paypal server (the link is something like https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-butcc-donate.gif) and now it works fine again on IE with norton 360. It seems to me that the problem is coming from the image on the paypal server. Anyone has experienced something like this before? It seems to me that IE + norton 360 suck.... And How will you check for such problems in your website?
I've never heard of that happening before. Maybe Norton realised that the secure page [paypal] could be potentially harmful in some respects. Thats odd though, but then again i refuse to use Norton Kind Regards, Nick
