hello i have always been curious about this paypal dispute process, let me set up a senario 1. i recieve $100 2. i transfer $75 this to bank account 3. therefore i have $25 paypal balance 4. dispute is setup for the $100 by the other party, either for wrong item type or invalid access so does paypal just give them the $25? or do they enter into my bank account and take the $75 i have always been curious what happens here, as from a buyers side i want to know just by transfering funds out can the seller avoid the process of disputes which is quite a loophole thanks
Well, basically if the other party is successful with the dispute, the $25 will be given to them and your account will have a $75 negative balance at which time it will be limited until you top up the difference. However if you can provide Paypal with a verifiable proof of delivery, you can win the dispute.
that was two different answers, does anyone know the correct answer and if the second one is correct.. what forces you to pay it?.. couldnt you just leave the account or cancel it? thanks
From what I know, Paypal will prompt you to top up your account and failing which they would get a collection agency to get the money from you. https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/m...ps=solutionPanels&solutionId=27358&isSrch=Yes
Some 7-8 months back one of my friend got a dispute of $3k+ and then his balance was around -$2500.For the next 4-5 weeks paypal continously sent him emails to fund his PP account, but he did not.Till date the account is showing same balance. His Paypal was VCC verified, here paypal cannot even contact his bank or any credit card company. So i think u can leave ur account as it is.
i think paypal will prompt u again and again but interesting news is that paypal always got money from us like limiting the accounts and i have lost a lot of money in that ...so great u r that u got money from paypal really really amazing ....u r great!!!!
