One of my Customer made a payment through paypal to my paypal.

Now, I have already provided the service to him But he is asking for money back.

Its more than 45 days he paid me.

Can he file for Chargeback or File for a Dispute ?

If he had paid you using his credit card then he can file for a "chargeback" and if he had paid you using his PayPal balance then he can file a dispute. Chargebacks is very difficult to win but disputes are easier than that.

I'm not a Paypal expert but as I know, Paypal does not offer any buyer protection for intangible goods or services, so you might win in the dispute by just responding to the case.

A lot of the time credit card chargebacks can come out of nowhere, though PayPal's policy is 45 days... so yeah, it mainly depends on how the person paid I suppose?

Hi, I feel more comfortable using a vcc for verification, do not use your credit card. Because it's very risky and if a problem occurs it will be difficult in looking for the solution of security problems.

I've used it for 3 years and never a problem occurs during this time.

As per policy if he paid from Paypal balance he cannot open dispute after 45 days.but if pay from CC they can do before 180 days.but you can provide your document Upload and Try.

    Thank you

He cannot open a paypal dispute, but he can file a chargeback with the credit card issuer. Per PayPal's merchant agreement with credit card companies, the standard of proof is pretty high, as in the agreement it says basically if they say beyond a reasonable doubt that they should get their money back, they will get it back. You'll need to provide documentation for paypal to use in the case for the credit card company to deny their customer...otherwise the customer will probably get their money back.

Your best option is to try and work with the customer to see what you can to do satisfy their expectations to diffuse the situation and ultimately avoid escalation. Paypal's chargeback protection is notoriously horrid, especially if it's related to a digital (intangible) good or service.

If he do credit card chargeback then Paypal wont be able to help you. If he tried to open with Paypal then it wont work. Just wish he sent via Paypal balance.
