Paypal dispute with SEDO.com any one know how long till they wake up and refund?

Ok so I purchased two nice domains on SEDO, and because their "server" crashed when the auction was on they have now decided to start the auctions again even though I won them twice.

The thing is I paid SEDO around 2 weeks ago for the domains via paypal the money has been accepted by them,

now I received a email from them saying the auctions will be re started yet they have kept my money, I emailed them and tried to call them numerous times yet no reply so I started a pay pal dispute to get my money back today.

Has any one had a dispute with them over pay pal before? if so how long did it take?

If the dispute is not successful litigation will be started against SEDO.

    thanks.

SEDO has a reliable brand in domaining business and I can't see any reason that they would scam you or become "dodgy" like you said.

Bugs happen everywhere and servers always fail - I even got a "Server busy" message on myspace.com and you say that they told you that they are keeping your money already until the new auction ends to decide the new winner ?

Or did they say they will keep that money and you have to send money again for the new auctions ?

You also say that they have just emailed you today. so why jump into paypal dispute before giving sedo the time to clarify their situation ?

because this has been a on going case for 2 weeks I have emailed them many times,

I have never even received a reply other then a automated reply.

The case in question involved the .mobi premium auctions, where they auctions the domains first ( I won 2 domains) then they re auctioned the domains because of "server issues" I won the two domains a second time over paid for them weeks ago and since I have heard nothing except that all domains will be re auctioned for the 3rd time.

You call SEDO a reliable brand, but they cant even run a auction correctly, I have done alot of business with SEDO in the past but will I be doing any more in the future?

    I think not.

A lot of other people are having similar issues.

What do you expect paypal to give you ? You want money back or domains ?

paypal will give you your money back but won't give you the domains and you can get the money from sedo without paypal dispute.

you still have 6 weeks to file a paypal claim - invest some time in contacting SEDO ;)

    Connections,

There have been many people affected by this as there is a current lawsuit pending against SEDO for how they are handling the 'server failed' .mobi auctions.

It basically comes down to SEDO looking to get more and more money for something they have already sold... or that is definately the way it looks.

Perhaps this might be interesting reading for you... this shows how much 'extra' money they can raise by having 'failed servers' after an auction has closed.

    http://www.namepros.com/dot-mobi/404038-music-mobi-lawsuit-sedo-mtld-auction.html

    Tech Entrance,

I think the problem here is the fact that SEDO have already entered into a legal agreement with Connections as they have invoiced him and he has paid them. In turn, they have not acknowledged receipt of payment for the initial agreed price and are still trying to sell the domain names for a 3rd time without even acknowledging that they have already legally been sold and therefore should not be available to be listed... unless Connections has given his consent for SEDO to list them on his behalf.

i think you will get your money back within 4 or 5 days since they cannot submit any proof that they have provide you the items you have purchase from them.... so either way you will win and get back your money.... however i never done any business with them but i am 100% sure you will get back your money.

    The thing is,

the main people involved with the class actions and litigation are people:

who (1) won the original auction (2) did not win the second auction.

    My situation involves,

    (1) winning auction one TWICE and entering contracts (2) then winning auction two both at higher prices and been entered into contracts both times and PAYING.

Many people have emailed me about taking litigation, or joining class actions, yet I have chosen to cut my losses and drop every thing I have with .mobi and drop all association with SEDO.

If SEDO is the BEST then why cant they run a decent server? why cant they communication with $xx,xxx buyers?

I have had enough of their BS, its over for SEDO and .mobi for me.

    Connections,

The whole situation also reflects on your circumstances as by law, you entered into a legally binding contract with SEDO when they sent the invoice to you and you paid them.

SEDO cannot take the law into their own hands and simply ignore their legal obligations under their own TOS.

The way you described the situation, you are 100% entitled to the .mobi domains at the original winning auction price... especially if it is the case where the servers did not crash and had only slowed dramatically (recorded on film by the music.mobi original auction winner).

The stronger the class action suit and the more valid claimants, the better the overall chance of winning the suit and showing the true nature of intent by SEDO.

I had a dispute on ebay. If Sedo don't reply to paypal's emails, paypal will reverse the payment. Thats what happened with me and it was all over within 2 weeks.

    thanks for the reply's,

I have decided not to invest into .mobi any more guys,

it just seems that MTLD the guys running .mobi are just in a huge grab for cash and don't care about the users.

The onyl reasons they want to re start the auctions is because they have PROFITS in mine.

Hopefully I can cut my losses on exchange rates and transfer fees and get some of this money back.

i will suggest you to wait for paypal because if they dont reply to paypal, then you will get the money back. normally it take 15 to 20 days. also now you dont have to do anything other then wait as paypal may have temp hold there payment and i am sure they have not replied to paypal or else paypal will notify you by email... so wait few more days and you will get your mnoey back soon...
