Hi What will I do if a user open a dispute stating that the transaction was unauthorized even though it is not ? The item is a script that was sold to the user. Any input is appreciated
email buyer saying that u has proof that u sold u the copy of the script in form of chatlogs or that IP deatils of him that he downloaded ur script and he will send these details to paypal if u dnt widraw back ur case. and in worst condition u can even report cyber crime for fraudelent activities, since u got the proofs. try it . this might work. i tried on sm1 and he closed the dispute next morning.
BAD idea to try to threaten people. Keep ALL communication inside the Paypal dispute system, so it can be reviewed by Paypal's claim people. State what business you did, what was bought, how the agreement was made up, when it was delivered and so on. Also offer to post proof to Paypal's personnel, like chat logs, or similar. Really offer to do anything Paypal could possibly want you to, to accomodate the process and help establish what happened.
You need to show them proof of chat logs with PayPal and tell him he is lying and watch out on future transactions with PayPal
Have you tried to contact that user ? How can you so sure that transaction was not unauthorized ?? DON.
you have accepted payment from a not trusted person, if you want to avoid this problem, try to take any ID or passport that has same information with his paypal account, if he cant provide then he is a crap trying to rip you.
I'm sorry to say this, but I think that you are out of luck. You basically sold a virtual item and did not add any kind of insurance to your transaction. He can merely say that he did not recieve this "product" and I would think that PayPal would side with the buyer. I sell graphic designs and after each transaction I make and inform the buyer ahead of time that he will have to add a disclaimer at the end... something like "I bought a virtual item and have received the goods. I will not open a dispute..."
You do not NEED to upload documentation right now, just produce it, save it and have it ready should Paypal request it. Just write down your side of the story. Be very careful to outline in the story for each claim you make like: Buyer agreed to purchase after discussion on Digital Point (proof of conversation and my login can be made available upon request from Paypal) Buyer is not happy with the item, and asked for a refund. When declined, he threatened to open a dispute, which he of course its free to do, accordign to Paypal's terms. (Proof of this conversation with buyer can be made available upon request from Paypal) And so on and so forth. Just mark it down, very clearly and easily and Paypal WILL side with you, unless a really unauthorized transaction happened. I've dealt with more than 50 Paypal disputes for both physical and virtual objects, and won EVERY SINGLE ONE of them.
