    This is the story...

I sold a MySpace account earlier today with 180,000 friends this account sold for $650. I was talking to the guy on AIM prior to his payment and he kept telling me to login into HIS PayPal account so i could send the money to myself. I thought this must be some kind of scam and told him "no, you login into your paypal and send the money or if you don't i won't sell you the myspace". He then signed off.

10 minutes later i received the funds from him, i then sent him the login details and he said thanks and he signed off again.

Now i just got an email from PayPal saying that this guy that purchased it off me has complained to ebay saying that someone has hacked into his PayPal account and sent the money without his knowledge. This is complete bullshit! PayPal are now holding my funds and my PayPal account reads -$650.

Has this happened to anyone before? Will i be getting my money back? I knew something was suspcious about this guy but i never logged into his account so i didn't do anything wrong. It looks like this guy just wants a free myspace account. The problem is i've lost my myspace account and my money!

So i'm left with nothing, can someone please help me out here.

    Thanks

That's the problem with paypal... there's only protection for the buyer not the seller... :( I stopped working with Ebay & paypal for that reason. We use wire transfer, personally I think it's the best.

He only contacted me through email so I'm not sure what his username is but his email is

Do you think i have a chance at winning this dispute? I mean if i lose, this means that any one can go around buying digital items on DP. For example someone could buy a website worth $1000 off here, get all the info then say your account was hacked and you never made the transaction and PayPal then send your money back. You can get a $1000 website for free and the seller loses his money.

I really hope i get this money back soon or I'm leaving PayPal for good and there gonna get a very angry phone call.

I use Paypal for my ecommerce company and yes, i've got this situation at least once a month. Someone buys my script from me, then a couple of weeks later I'll recieve an email from paypal stating that the purchase was fraudulent.
