i just lost a paypal dispute and my paypal balance is -600. I sold a website. The buyer pushed back the domain to my account and kept the script. What will happen if i do not pay back. I live in india. I do not want to use paypal anymore, and certainly do not pay as i delivered what i promised to buyer. Can paypal take legal action against me?
when buyer escalate the dispute to claim then your balance came to negative, now paypal will ask you to reply to the messages in Paypal within 15 days and if you do not reply then it will go in favour of buyer, just reply to messages and call in Paypal, dont worry nothing will go wrong , this will go in your favour then. All the best
You have to add funds in your account or wait for the another payment from the anohter person so it will be in positive.
@vallen mcGill, i already supplied paypal with email conversation and push notification emails from my domain registrar, yet paypal decided against me. @Thread777 I dont want to deposit money since i am not guilty. I will use paypal alternatives now. I am only concerned about legal implications if i dont pay.
Paypal cannot take any action and I don't think they will bother either, considering the huge number of paypal accounts there are.
after 180 days They send lawyer notice to your postal address to claim your money.you have to ignore it.if you have right and legit sell.then just ignore it.Otherwise can be problem!
It may be a problem. I'm assuming you signed up for Paypal with all your real personal details so they know who you are, your location and your contact details.
You should add fund or when you recieve a fund you will lose those funds from received funds. So you have to make it neutral anyhow if you want to use your pp again
just forget the account and dont worry paypal dont take any legal action cases against in india . The same thing happened to one of my friend he got a payment of 500$ and now his balance is in negative from past 1 year no issue nothing else so just chill paypal cant do anything . If you were in Us or uk they would have sent legal notice to your address
If you have negative balanance then you should add fund to it using your credit card or you will get your account limited. You can also add funds when you get payment from someone
Hi Coolu. I am facing the same problem with a negative balance. But I am in Malaysia. Is it Paypal will let me go freely without charges? By the way, Paypal just opened their office in Malaysia. So, I am consider that Paypal is a big Company in Malaysia. What is your opinion about this? and what is your advice to me?
Look I know there are unscrupulous buyers out there, either just had funds to balance out the negative balance or wait until your next few sales and those will draw down the negative balance til it's neutral. I don't know Malaysia's or India's laws regarding debt collection from foreign corporations since PayPal is U.S. company though it has offices in other countries. You should want to get your PP balance back to neutral and review your transaction or refunds policy to avoid chargebacks in the future. Ban that customer from making future purchases on your site or don't service that person again.
It's a shame to hear about your story. PayPal are a brilliant payment option in most cases, but not for things like this... You should have used Escrow for a transaction like a website, they specialise in those sort of things and there is proof between the transfer of domain between the buyer/seller as well as certain terms/conditions that must be matched/met!
Hi friend, I want to know about paypal dispute, i done many transaction through paypal and now i thing most of people file dispute against me so what happens if i don't refund their funds, is paypal take any action against me . i am indain and i don't using Crdit card, just have bank account which is attached with paypal account . what actions paypal can take against me????
paypal cannot take any actions against you but your account will be limited and you wont be allowed to use paypal . Also try to make payment via invoice and mention that specifically that there is no refund for the product you are offering for 10 days or no refund Specify that . make sure person uses his paypal email address on your website if you have .
Some of you appear just to be brain dead.... When you owe another company money, they just do not let it go... normally they send you to collections, at least in the US, and they are not just going to say "lets be friends again" so you can scam them again.... PP will track you in various ways so if you attempt to signup again, then if they do not flag you right away, then it will be just a matter of time. Ok, So you got burned for $600, not surprising that you lost paypal dispute seeing that paypal does not cover digital goods; you lost before you even sold the item; at that point you are just hoping the seller is truthful and does the right thing, and he did not. move on, re-pay paypal, and get back to business...next time if you sell high value digi goods then maybe use escrow, but even that is not a guarantee, after someone buys something, they can always claim fraud to their cc company; Otherwise it just appears you are scamming PP because someone scammed you.
