We have got a dispute case from paypal. What does these 3 options means: 1.Offer a refund for a different amount = Ok 2.Decline this refund request but continue communicating with xxx 3.Escalate this dispute to a PayPal claim. I tried to use 2.Decline this refund request but continue communicating with xxx but can not write more than 256 chars. Kindly suggest what I can do? I would like to write more which one is best?

Shall I mail to paypal personally? Or wait till I get another reply from the buyer? I have already contacted with the buyer using "2.Decline this refund request but continue communicating with xxx", and asked if my work was not per requirements then why did he asked all files? When we both agreed to discontinue project, he asked for all files, I showed live work on my server then I sent them. Then he request refund $100 out of $280. I did so in order to avoid further dispute and as I try satisfy clients and follow a very fair policy. Day before yesterday, he asked some suggestions that what type of programmer he need in order to complete the project, I responded by chat friendly, after 4 working days of refund - yesterday he requested refund of another $40 then I said its quite hard to refund, don't make request further. Now they filled dispute case in paypal. Please tell me how can I tell all these thing to paypal? mailing them directly.
I tried 3 times to speak with Paypal support but each times call disconnected while conversation was going on and looking at my account after providing correct email and bank account last 4 digit . they have understood that I was talking with them regarding dispute. Shall I mail them now? or try more to call Paypal? sorry for asking newbie questions
I still suggest you to sort out this issue using phone call. BTW you can call them free too using skype and gizmo project. Search for it on google search. DON.
I guess I am having net connection issues, though will call again this evening. In mean time mail sent to PayPal, let see what happens. I have heard in most cases paypal refund to buyer. How can I protect myself from this kind of issues?
