Hi, I didnt know which thread this would be most suited, so Sorry if its in the wrong place. Firstly, I am an Australian Resident and I need to get funding into paypal. I have been getting funding from net activities in the past but I want to step up in production and add some funding from my weekly income from employment. The first problem is that my account only allows for funding to be added by a US bank account. I have a credit card and I hear of other people in different countries using their CC to get funds into the account. So, Can anyone tell me how to get funding into an overseas paypal account using an australian CC?? Would much appreciate it..
Get an account with another bank. PayPal does allow Australia users to use them. Then PayPal just direct deposits the money in to the bank account, or you can have them mail you a check. Any bank that doesn't allow checks from the USA is smoking pot!
Oh, I can get funding FROM paypal fine, but I want to get funding INTO it. In other words, I need more money in my paypal account to pay for services for my sites.
Can't you just add money in to your PayPal account??!! Or is that what your bank won't let you do? If there's some one you can trust, give them the money and have them send a 'payment' to your PayPal account. Then again, you can always trust a wacko! *hint*
The only option it gives me is to transfer from a bank acc in the us. Obviously its hard when I dont live in the US..
If I remember correctly I had a "add credit card" option somewhere in the control panel of my account which I used to add my cc. I can't believe that that option has been excluded (even for aussies ).
Post the current URLs and the way you want them over on the Apache board. And there's the mod_rewrite FAQ.
Try to get a Visa or Mastercard. They're pretty universal. If you get one you can use it fund your account.
Hi, I myself am from australia too and the only way australians can pay for goods with paypal if you do not have funds in your account is via credit card. I personally hate it as when I pay my members and hosting fees if my account gets emptied I can not pay anymore members until I get paid from advertisers... Drew.
yeh i hear ya oz..... Is there any way around this? Like say, set up a donations through a web site which can accept credit cards??? I see this is possible in a business acc... ???
You can accept credit cards with a business account which is what I have but never have tried accepting my own credit card via it. It could possibly work.. If you have a credit card that is different to the one listed on your paypal account you could pay me with it then I will send you the amount less paypal receive fees... But this would only work if the credit card is different to the one listed on your account otherwise they would be suspicous to why you are paying me then I send you the money back. But if you want we can do this, simply make a purchase via one of my sites and I will send you the amount less the paypal receive fees so you then have funded your account. I won't even ask for a fee for doing this. Drew.
Sounds interesting..... But I would first like to know how to get a business acc?? set up an online store and where do I go from their?? Ive looked but cannot find? Thanks
You don't need a business account to accept credit cards, just sign up for a merchant account and get verified. You need to enter a CC #, then a phone #: paypal phones you within minutes of entering it to verify it, and a bank account: they deposit 2 sums of money into your account and you have to reply with the amounts. The process takes 5-7 days. If you have a CC linked to your account you do not have to have money in your account. If you are short Paypal takes the money from your CC. You only need a business account or premier account if you want to receive payments from a credit card (other people) but with a personal account you can add a credit card and verify it and then spend cash via paypal off your credit card.. But you can not add funds to your account balance.. If you do it as I suggested then you do not need business/premier account as I will send you the funds as paypal funds not paypal credit card funds... Drew.
Yes you can as long as they have a business/premier account.. If they have a personal account then they can not accept credit card payments via PayPal. Drew.
