I recently started doing some freelance work...I have been accepting paypal and have had but one problem. The problem recently is that the guy I provided a service to was content with service last week but just decided to perform a chargeback yesterday. I already responded but I have had situations where I was the customer buying a script that did not work and Paypal sided with the other party. It seems as if though when im involved PayPal sides with the opposite party no matter how strong of a case I have. Being now that I have had a similar case overturned before when I was the customer in which a service provided did not meet standards and I disputed and it was not overturned would I run the same luck? I havent read on the disclosure agreement yet but who is protected when its a service is it the buyer or is it the seller?
It is usually the buyer, but sometimes seller too. I had once applied for a chargeback becoz of incomplete service, but paypal sided the other side saying it was a digital service and refund could not be made. But then you should know that Paypal is the number one hypocrite processor out there.
Usually they protect the buyer, in most cases he is the victim, but sometimes they jsut dont look correct at the case. They judge by cases that have been resolved before, not in the case now.
In most cases they victimise the buyer.....Their system of working does affects the innocent buyers mostly in case of chargebacks
