So here is what happened I had filed for a dispute on paypal with a company..

After certain period of time and no response from company I uplifted my case.

Paypal took its decision and I got a mail that I lost the case.

So I contacted the company's staff about my problem and they told me that they had lost the case too and therefore cannot issue refund

So after a month they have told me paypal has technical issues and everything is being sorted out..

So in case you have lost a dispute just check with the other party that they received the money or not. It might be that PayPal took the money for themselves.

I really doubt paypal would just keep the money and inform both parties they lost the dispute.

I have found, that it is better to handle disputes through your credit card company and not paypal. Paypal has a ton of fees and their policies are not as strict.

So, if you have to pay via paypal, pay with a credit card (not a bank account, and not a debit card.. unless your bank has very good debit card policies) that preferly has a zero fraud liability policy for internet transactions. You can then dispute issues directly with your credit card company and cut paypal out.

Paypal will argue with your credit card company, not you. And let me tell you, most of the time the credit card company wins.

That's a good excuse infact from paypal.

Both parties would think that they have lost case and paypal will take all the money.

You seriously think a banking corporation, which is owned by eBay, would do this?

I can tell you that corporations routinely have their transactions audited. They wouldn't be able to hide this. They'd be shut down.

Paypal has EVERYTHING to lose by trying to scam people. Doubt they are doing it. I've never had a problem with their dispute department.

I tend to agree with this opinion as Paypal is too bigger a company to get itself involved in such petty stuff.

Might be the concerned company is lying or it might probably be the handiwork of some employee of Paypal getting cozy with the official of the concerned company.
