PayPal checkout charging wrong $$

I have a simple site which sells one item with a paypal button setup. The price of the item is $97. When you click the button on my site you go to the PayPal login page to pay. After logging in you are directed to the payment page which says you will be charged $97 if you agree to the transaction. At this point if you click PayPal charges you $0.01 and that is what gets put into my account.
I have double and triple checked the dollar amount in my code. Where is this getting the wrong dollar value to charge?
Any help would be appreciated! I tried using paypaldeveloper to answer my problem, but nobody even responded.

Post the codes here that you use to set up the button and so we could help. Or contact Paypal directly about the issue. I think they know their system better and if there is really a fault with their system, they can fix it at their end.

Ah, if you do not use the encryption Buy Now button, anyone can modify the price for you.
