Hello, I requested a check from paypal on feb 17. I am from India and it was on processing for 5 days and then the status turned check issued. I've not received the check till date and i have been waiting for it since feb 22. I contacted paypal regarding this and they told me that the check has been issued and the local postal processing would take time and it can take up to 45 days to reach you. If not received within 45 days then i can cancel my check and then get the money back to my paypal. The doubts that i have now are: 1. Will the check be a crossed check on my name? So that only i can encash my check to my bank account? 2. How do they ship these checks? Do they send them via express service or do they send via normal post, Is it registered? 3. How do i know if my check is stolen or still in transit? If stolen, what should i do then? 4. How do i cancel my check after this long? What will happen if i do cancel my check now? 5. How long as it take for people in India to receive checks? Do you think its wise to cancel my check now or should i wait for it? Thanks for all the help and support, i took the check mode due the recent fumble and also because of my need of money, but i never helped me and it has also left me worried now. The doubts that i have now are: yes, you can cash it by depositing in bank account. Remember only you can cash it. ONLY by ordinary postal mail with priority. you dont. if your check is lost or stolen, wait for 45 days and then you can contact paypal to cancel the check. Like i said, wait for 45 days or even max 60 days. you never know when it will come, but it will come for sure. Once you put a cancel request, then check comes, it will bounce. So give 45 days for delivery. usually 15-30 days, depending on your location. Just WAIT!! Dont cancel it! i have sometimes received paypal checks, even after one and half months.
