I normally receive paypal checks monthly and i currently live in India. It looks like this time paypal has sent me a check and i have not received it. Usually i will get the check in 15-20 days. It has been almost 30 days passed and its just making me curious. It happened to me last year (oct), because of postman problem in our area, they have sent the letter back to paypal and paypal cancelled the check. Has anyone lost your check before? Who is to take the blame? Paypal or the India Post? I havent tried xoom, because i heard that xoom does not allow IND to IND transfer. Not sure if this is a good way. I am very scared that my PP account will be limited for doing money transfers. Truly this waiting game sucks
You have to wait for another 15 days as you can only request for stop payment of check after 45 days. Xoom is reliable and safest for money transfer from your verified indian paypal account to yourself. So many indians using it without having any problem. Just take care that never go with "pick up" option as its not allowed for india to india transaction.
I am very disappointed that PP after this many years still does not provide professional courier service to Indians and other countries, who request check for their living. Look at Google adsense! How professional they are? Their checks sent from singapore come within a week and i never missed it for the past 3 yrs. Plus they offer Express courier service!
I am an Indian too buddy and have been using xoom from quite a long time, awesome reliable service and for your clarification xoom does allow INR TRANSFER FROM YOUR OWN ACCOUNT BUT YOU CAN USE EITHER BANK DEPOSIT or check. Now their is another service paypal offering withdraw to your CC, PM me for more info buddy, i will be happy to assisst you. Cheers!
Hello You can use Xoom for direct Bank deposit. I was also under the same fear about Xoom so I did a trial transfer of just 25$ and they charged me 9.99$ transcation fees for that. But my second transfer is in pipeline....It is indeed excellent and worth paying few dollars more than waiting for the Cheque. It takes just max of 3-4 days and if you have internet banking......you can watch your money going to your bank account. Make sure that the money u want to get transferred is atleast 300$ then the fees are worth. Above 500$ they charge 14.99$ so make a wise transfer. For example if you have 550$ to be transferred, just transfer 500$ so that you will be charged only 9.99$ and not 14.99$ I strongly recommend Xoom. Regards gopal
It can take upto a month and it usually does take upto a month, so I suggest you wait for a few more days.
The blame is to Indian post! I live in India too buddy! Our post man are too BAD! They open the letters and when they find checks, cash or important notes, they just take it! This is the biggest problem for everybody! I had lost my PayPal checks 3 ties now and Now I am out of business due of it! And the biggest thing that SUCKS is Western Union does not allow Indians to send cash to other countries! P.S. I lost my adsense checks once! I am a bad luck!
If I'm right, this is how Xoom works: I'm from India and I can transfer from my verified PayPal A/C to my Bank A/C through Xoom but not 'pick up'? What entry does it show in your bank A/C statement, and have you had any issues with this service (from Xoom, PayPal or your bank)? I'm VERY new to all this, so would appreciate your help. Thanks from India
I would say wait for some more weeks and if you still don't receive the check then you may get it cancelled and resent. I believe it has more to do with Indian Postal Service than the paypal as they issue the check on time.
Many of my friends using their paypal account for their online business, sometimes it so happened with them also that they hvent received their checks in due time , but with some delay and few complaint mail they got their checks, I would suggest better not to withdraw ur cash through checks , rather transfer your funds directly to your credit card, this feature has recently been given my payal, u may even withdray minimm amount of money depending upon ur use.
