Hello, I bought an item from a buyer recently and paid through paypal. The seller did not send me the item, hence, I initiated a chargeback through PayPal. I am just curious what happens if the seller has moved all the funds (the account which the seller was using was unverified). Do I still get the money and his paypal balance go to negative or I don't get money, since his account doesn't have any money left? Thanks in advance for answering. Best Regards, Phalgun
You will definitely get back your money....as paypal is anyway always found favoring the buyers... Even if the seller has removed all his money, paypal usually debits the account even if the balance goes into negative. Regards, RightMan
hey same condition to me, i ordered a prepaid card from a merchant and did'nt get the card so i first contacted merchant they said me to start a dispute but i did'nt get my money back .
Since you have not yet received the item, you will definitely win the chargeback. You will get your money back even if the seller does not have anything in his account. His account balance will become negative or if he has the credit card attached to it. The charge will be deducted from the credit card.
the chance is 60-40, if its non us or uk account. and if the seller has moved the money to his account, the chance is 40%. ive experienced same situation mant time
