I have recently opened a paypal account(personal). Now, when somebody transfer money, sometime paypal charges its commision and sometime not. Why is this so ?? Also do one need to pay charges to paypal(in personal a/c) when somebody transfer some bucks from his paypal a/c to my paypal a/c ??
Hi, Why does your post say Paypal Chargeback Problem? Chargebacks are when someone pays for something with their credit card, and then they dispute it on their credit card sometime later that there was a problem with the purchase. But in regards to your question. When someone sends you money directly from their Paypal funds to you, on a Personal Account, there are no fee's. When someone uses their credit card to send money to you, there are fee's, but you have to have a Premier account to accept them. Paypal will tell you that you have to upgrade to a Premier or Business account to accept credit cards. Are you sure you just have a Personal Account? Is this what you mean? Jen
Thanks for the wonderful reply and correcting me. Sorry, i didn't know about chargeback so made a mistake. Ya, I have a personal account and this happened with personal account. They did ask me once to upgrade the account, but i didn't. One more question, If i upgrade my account to premier , will i be charged when somebody transfer money from his paypal account to my paypal account.
I have a PayPal business account and have found that if an entity sending money is not paying via an invoice I sent or my shopping cart -- the fee is waived. If I send an invoice or a shopping cart function is used, the PayPal fee is applied. Q...
No fees for Personal Account , Business Accounts have 3.9% + $0.30 as fees So when A credit card is used to pay in a personal account Paypal charges around 6%+$0.30 and 5 card transactions in an year only
there is some paypal fee that they are deducting in personal account when you receved the money from another country paypal accounts
Oh, I forgot about that as I didn't do any international transactions on my Personal account before I upgraded to the Premier. Good info to know. Jen
