Paypal changing name

I just recently requested a name change for my paypal account...

I was wondering how long this took. I'm adding a bank account right now and my current name is just off by a few letters.

My name right now is Jeff on the account, and I'm changing it to Jeffrey. The last name is same. Will this cause any problems?

 

I think it's pretty stupid you can't change your name without contacting them. If they do allow you to do so, I can't think of any programs that will occur.

 

Why is it stupid? I think their aim is to prevent false members, abuse and fraudlent accounts. Contacting them to change your name does not take long, and if you're changing your name multiple times, seems a little fishy.

 

They don't let you change it without contacting them for security reasons.

yes, like yurx say, you need to contact for security reasons...with money security is a must!

 

you can change your name, thats normal... scan a Copy of National ID Card... and attach it when changing name, else they will limit your account.

Talk to costumer care, basically you need send valid photo ID to get your account name changed.

I dont think paypal allows name changing unless recreation of account
