Somebody said they sent me money, but I never got it. He said to me: Is you name "Mary Z... " ? And that's my name on my paypal account.. If he did not send the money (since I never got it), how did he know this? Or having seen my full name means that he actually did send the money? Hope that made sense.
You're doing it the hard way simply ask him for the transaction ID# and then look it up in your records. As for the name he could have gotten it from anywhere else on the web.
Thanks Solid_Nuts.. I did ask him for the transaction ID, I'll get it tomorrow I suppose. What worries me is the issue about my name. I just have him my email address and if you google my email, nothing comes up.
when we initiate a transaction to a email, it will show ur real name ( name of ur record) to confirm if we are paying the right person. u can get a name without confirming the transaction. so that doesnt prove that he paid you. transaction id is the key.. anyway it will reflect in ur paypal as well
Thanks arunn! That's what I wanted to know.. knowing name doesn't mean that he paid as he said he did...
Yup, it doesn't means that he has paid you if he has seen your name. Name comes while verifying the payment before sending it to any1.
Transaction Id is a good proof with which a payment can be traced and verified in the event of a non-receipt. If the buyer refuses to give you a transaction id under one pretext or the other, he is just fooling around....and I say that, from a personal experience! Regards, RightMan
Ask him the transiction id. Buyer can even know your name by not even completing transiction or paying you. When you pay someone via paypal , a verification page display which show your name , and a button below to confirm the transiction , hope you understand everything now.
The transaction ID is the vital point.. This ID will be the best proof if you ask for the pament proof..
