    Hi All,

I am looking to set up a website / business in Australia, and I am just interested in know some of the advantages / disadvantages of using a PayPal Business Solution vs a Bank Business Solution.

We are looking to process credit card transactions from customers both online and over the phone although we won't have a shop front.

The two main things I am concerned about are cost, and also how user friendly it is for the customer.

Any advice or feedback, would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Jake

    Hi Jake

Paypal is internationally accepted so it would be easy for a lot of people to check out with.

Credit cards processed on your site opens the way for scams if you have a security violation.

There are plenty of payment gateways that are happy to take this burden off you.

They will have to call you to check out ? That sounds slow.

If you want to try a quick shopfront setup you can do it at tradr.com for 6 bucks australian.

Ideally you want to offer your customers as many payment options as you can to make maximise sales

some people prefer checking out using paypal while others might not have a paypal account or have never used paypal before so would like to stick to the old fashioned credit card form
