    I have a few questions:

    • Is there really a big difference between the business and the personal account?
    • Does anyone use the business account? If so, what do you think about it?
    • Is it easy to sign up for a business account?
    • Is the business account available for all countries? Because the personal account is not available in my country but it seems that the business account is… is it possible?

    - The main difference is that the personal account is made for spending money while the Business Account is made mainly for receiving money

    - If you are doing business or are selling something on a regular basis using Paypal, then you need a Business or Premier account. You only use a Business Account if you have a registered business with a bank account in your business name. A Premier account is very much like a Business account but it is made for unregistered business or individual.

    - Well, signing up for a Paypal account, business or otherwise is simple. However, it is the verification which some people finds hard.

    - No, Paypal accounts are limited to 103 supporting countries https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-approved-signup-countries-outside . I have never heard of a country which only support business account and not a personal account. There are more countries which can spend money on Paypal then receiving it so there are places where a personal account is the only option as the accounts cannot receive money.

Well, actually you can. It just limits you to 5 credit card transaction in a 12 months time frame at a higher charges, ie 4.9% + $0.30 (instead of the 1.9% - 2.9% + $0.30) .

    See http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside

However, you are right to say that if you are accepting payments through eBay, you will need a Premier or Business account to receive Credit Card payments.
