PayPal ban me for somebody directing their malicious payments (2) to my email.

I woke up monday and logged into PayPal to see that my 100% complete PayPal profile with a email () has been banned - I haven't done anything; but here's what I'm being accused of.

A website has been selling malicious services and they directed the payments to my PayPal account without my consent. There were two payments at the time of calling them after getting permanently banned, one which was for $0.20 which I refunded immediately after he disputed it and another for $15.00 eCheque which I also refunded as soon as I saw.

There was one point referenced in the first email I received, the amount (1x$15 eCheque that I refunded) and earlier in the email it gave a link to where I was violating PayPal's ToS.

I rang PayPal, did my best to explain the situation and that there's only two payments that have been sent to me and that I did not agree to them being sent and that I need this account unbanning since I haven't done anything. She wrote a great explanation of this and sent it to "Brand Risk Management". The call ended around 8-9PM, they close 1 hour later. I spoke to another victim of the exact same website (small community), he's reported it too.

    ---

I get up today and have an email from 9AM, telling me that this appeal was refused with the same URL but a completely different payment being referenced, this one was for $5 (my sites account upgrades, within PayPal's ToS) with a transaction ID that doesn't exist in my account. The website had been removed from the host, so the website no longer exists too.

I call and insist she sends another email. She tells me that they don't make these decisions lightly (it was made at 9am, with the wrong transaction ID and a non-existent website now) and put a lot of research and thought into it. I say how the information they included is incorrect, she tells me that I have no way of talking to somebody who can sort this out - however I insist she ask them to send me a number to call if they refuse it again.

I'm playing the waiting game, chances are I wont get the account back and I'll have to create a new account for the same to happen. PayPal is so exploited, it's unreal. I'm going to contact a business lawyer within the family for his advice on the situation, but that wont be until shit hits the fan.

Has this happened to anyone else, how have you got your account back or was it a never-ending battle of them not looking into it? Thanks.

Very unfortunate. It didn't happen to me but I can understand your pain. What about the fund on your Paypal? What are they saying?

PayPal is very sensitive about what you're doing. Any unusual act in your account could result in account restriction and money block. However, I don't use it because of their restriction against some countries.
